The Institute

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) is one of the Fifteen higher Institutes of Technology in the country set up with the objective of making available facilities for higher education, research and training in various fields of Science and Technology.

The Institute on an average admits 880 candidates for the undergraduate programme through Joint Entrace Exam(JEE),280 candidates for M.Sc. programmes, 1000 candidates for different postgraduate programmes and 450 for Ph.D programmes every year.
