Convocation Day

Convocation Day is the highlight of a student's life as it marks the culmination of their academic life. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay holds it’s Convocation every year in the month of August. IIT Bombay gives away degrees to successful candidates at various levels. These include Ph.D., dual degree (M.Sc. +Ph.D.), M.Sc. by research, M.Phil. M.Tech., M.Mgmt., M.Des.,five-year B.Tech.+M.Tech. Dual degree, PGDIIT, five-year integrated M.Sc., two-year M.Sc. and 4 B.Tech. Degrees.

 

Dr. Manmohan Singh, Former Prime Minister of India, was the Chief Guest on the 50th Convocation which was held in the month of August 2012.Shri Kapil Sibal, Former Minister of Human Resource Development, His Excellency Shri K. Shankaranarayanan, Governor of Maharashtra, and Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, were also on the dais and graced the occassion.
