IITB scholar participates in World Congress

Deelip D. Mhaske, Research Scholar, Department of Human and Social Sciences, has become the first Indian and the youngest participant in the World Congress on Family Law and Rights of Children organised by UNICEF and groups on children's rights from across the world. He presented a paper on human rights of the HIV-positive children in India.

The fourth World Congress, held in Cape Town during March 20-23, 2005, deliberated upon the Convention on Child Rights that has already been signed by some countries. Speakers from countries such as Britain, US, Ireland, Australia and several other European and Asian countries also participated in the event.
