INAUGURAL CONFERENCE ― AIB INDIA

“Globalization and India: Addressing the Challenges”

Format and Deadlines:

  1. Submission of a detailed abstract must be received by July 31, 2002. This abstract should be no more than 1000 words and include information on methodology and results. Acceptance notification will be sent by August 30th, and full papers must be submitted by October 31, 2002.
  2. Approximately 50 papers will be selected for presentation at the conference.
  3. Guidelines and style for full paper preparation should follow that of the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS). Three printed copies of the paper and one electronic copy (in Microsoft Word format) must reach the conference organizer by the submission deadline. Please refer to JIBS site (http://www.jibs.net/Submis_papers.asp) for “Manuscript Format and Style Guide.”
  4. Final Papers should be no more than 20 pages or 5,000 words in length, plus exhibits. They should include an abstract of no more than 100 words. Papers should be printed on A4-size pages using Times New Roman font size 12.
  5. The Author must certify that the accepted paper is not copyrighted and has not been published elsewhere.

Official Language: Papers and presentations must be in English.

Registration: The Conference registration fee is Rs. 1,500 for participants from South Asia, and will include a one-year AIB membership. Registration fee is US $100 for non-South Asian residents who are AIB members (others must add a one-year AIB membership fee ― see the AIB site for further information http://www.aibworld.net/). The registration fee includes welcoming reception, and all program luncheons, coffee breaks and dinners.

AIB India: One objective of the conference is to invite all interested academics to form a national chapter of the AIB. A business meeting will be scheduled during the conference for this purpose.
