Abstract :

My understanding of Finance came out of my Industry (short) stint. It led to an elective & links up with the one on Management. In brief I begin with Engg in various branches & its distinctness from science. Then I look for ways to recognize a `better engineer. This is connected with current trends in practice & the market. Its importance in academics & efforts towards BTech restructuring are then highlighted. I show from the above what place economics & finance have in an Engineer's career.
