Modelling & Simulation
Modeling and simulation is very important in product development cycle. This helps the designer in quick and better products at low cost. To facilitate the quick solution it is important to create models, which are simple and accurate and represent the pysical system. This course aims at understanading the mathematical models and their pysical behavior. Techniques used for solving the mathematical models and performing simulation in different environment will be covered during the course. Realtime simulation is critical when hardware is in the loop. This course also covers the topics on real-time simulation and hardware in loop simulation. Each lecture is backed up by the examples and laboratory session. An exposure to this course will help in modeling a complex engineering system and conducting the simulations, as a design aid.

Discussions &
Feedbacks (One Hour):
Target audience is NOT the main work force looking at modeling & simulation. The audience will be members who want to initiate work in this field or who should develop a feel, appreciation and awareness about modeling & simulation. The course is aimed at creating awareness about the steps involved in modeling & simulation and what is required to realize the simulation.
CASDE is equipped with simulation packages, which are general in nature and also specific to aerospace simulation. Various experimental setups are available to conduct the specific studies in this field.
Centre for Aerospace Systems Design & Engg. (CASDE), Deptt. of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Powai, Mumbai – 400 076.
The course fee per participant will be Rs. 6500/-. (For
