Wireless Network
Architectures and Applications
January 13-14, 2003
The proposed short-term course on Mobile Internet is intended to bring out the issues in designing applications for mobile devices. The course will cover the basics of medium access in wireless networks, network architectures for roaming and client mobility, and end-to-end issues in application design. Emphasis will be given to detailed understanding of the underlying design decisions in selected wireless network protocols, architectures and applications.
The course duration is two
days: Jan 13-14, 2003. Each day will consist of several lecture sessions
and will end with an open session to discuss ideas and issues identified by the
audience.
Venue:
Auditorium, First Floor in the Kanwal Rekhi School of Information
Technology, IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai.
