Appearing for Joint Management Entrance Test 2004 (JMET 2004) is the first step in the process of seeking admission to the Post-Graduate Programmes in Management offered by IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee. The IISc and participating IITs will use the results of JMET 2004 to short list candidates for the subsequent part of the selection process(es). Applicants should note that they have to apply for and send separate application forms to different IITs and IISc as per their choices. Candidates are advised to refer to the details provided by each of the Institutes in this website. An applicant can apply to as many programmes as desired by him / her subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements. |

You can either apply Online or Offline i.e. By POST. Fee for Online application is Rs 700/- for General Category & Rs. 300/- for SC / ST categories. Fee for Offline application is Rs 800/- for General Category & Rs. 400/- for SC / ST categories. If you are applying Online, it is mandatory to have a valid e-mail account for all future interaction with the Organising Institute regarding your application. |

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING OFFLINE i.e. BY POST |

For sending the application form BY POST (OFFLINE submission), Brouchure and Application form can be obtained in person/by post from the GATE office of the zone in which the test center selected by the candidate is located. The request, accompained by two self-addressed slips and a demand draft for Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- for SC / ST categories) drawn in favour of the Institute concerned, has to be sent to the Chairman of the GATE office concerned. Use the forms available with the Brochure. Carefully fill in all the items of the forms after reading the instructions provided. Your photograph should be glued at the appropriate place provided in the form. You may keep an identical photograph in reserve for future need. Keep a photocopy of the forms for your record. Select two test centres of your choice in the same zone in order of preference from the list given and also indicate their city codes (Refer to Table 3.2 in the brochure). The test centres cannot normally be changed once the choice is made. Request for change of centre in exigencies should be accompanied by a D.D. for Rs. 400/- drawn in favor of the Institute of the zone in which the candidate was originally allotted a centre. Where
to send the JMET 2004 Application form You are advised to send your JMET 2004 application form only by registered/speed post to GATE Office, IIT Delhi, and retain the receipt. The appropriate GATE Office will mail the JMET Admit Card containing your Centre code, Registration Number, and the address of the Test Centre to you by November 20, 2004. You should contact the concerned GATE office and also send a reminder (quoting your Test Centre and JMET 2004 Application Number), only if you do not receive the Admit Card by November 30, 2004. |
