ARIIA

The Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) was initiated by the Ministry of Education (then Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)), Government of India on August 30, 2018, to systematically rank all major higher educational institutions and universities in India on parameters related to “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development” amongst students and faculties. The parameters used for consideration for ARIIA rankings include budget, facilities, awareness, entrepreneurship, commercialization, learning methods and governance.

The 4th edition of Atal Rankings of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) is renamed as ‘NIRF-Innovation’ ranking 2023 and it has adopted the same framework, parameters and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of ARIIA.

NIRF-Innovation Ranking 2023 [former Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA)]: The results of NIRF 2023 were announced by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Education and External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh on 5th June 2023.

IIT Bombay secured fourth position Overall, 3 in Engineering, 10 in Management, fourth in Research and seventh position in the NIRF-Innovation 2023 under the CFTI’s category ‘Institute of National Importance (Technical)
