June 26 will be observed as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving the goal of a world free of drug abuse.

The Government of India has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to a "Drug Free India", a vision that resolves to fight against drug abuse and its detrimental effects on individuals and communities.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), as the nodal agency in the matter of drug law enforcement in India, will observe the “नशा मुक्त भारत पखवाड़ा" from 12th June to 26th 2024, across the nation.

NCB encourages citizens to take the ‘e-pledge’ against drug abuse on this occasion.
