
Debjani Paul is an Institute Chair Professor in Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. She obtained a Ph.D. in physics from the Indian Institute of Science, and did her postdoctoral research at the Curie Institute and the University of Cambridge.
After a short stint in a pharma company, Debjani started her research group at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2012. Her research group develops diagnostic platforms using microfluidic technology with a strong focus on technology translation.
She is an associate editor of the journal Bioengineering and Translational Medicine and a member of the editorial board of the journal PLoS Global Public Health .
