 Dr Usha Ananthakumar is the Dean, Educational Outreach at IIT Bombay. She is a Professor in the area of Decision Sciences & Quantitative Methods at Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay.  Her areas of research include Applied Statistics, Classification under Imbalance, Statistical Learning and Predictive Modeling. 

Her publications have appeared in International journals like Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Journal of Quantitative Economics, Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production and Operations Management, etc., Her teaching interests include Statistical Methods, Multivariate Data Analysis and Predictive Analytics. She also conducts short term programs for executives in the field of Analytics.

She is the Co-PI of the Malaria group of the National Disease Modeling Consortium (NDMC) anchored at IIT Bombay.
