1. INFORMATION FOR PEOPLE WHO ATTEND IIT HOSPITAL IN EMERGENCY.
I-card is essential.  Patient will receive immediate medical attention and care of wound but only minimum doses of medicine will be given.  Patient should come next day in OPD for further consultation

2. ENTITLEMENT RULES

Staff Members :  Entitled for medical facilities and reimbursement for self & family which includes Spouse, children,  and parents, if dependent. Further specification of family-:

  1. Children including step children and adopted children wholly dependent and residing with the staff member

  2. Sons/Daughter either employed or married are not entilted for medical facility, even if residing with the staff member.

  3. Son, above age of 25 years is not entitled, even if not employed or married.

  4. Son suffering from any permanent disability is entitled irrespective of age limit.

Temporary Staff: (Institute's Contract / 89 days) :  Entitled Only for OPD facilities (Consultation in OPD, Medicines, Lab. Investigations, X-Ray, USG, Physiotherapy, Specialist Consultation, Minor O. T. during OPD Hours.) for Self & Spouse. 

Project Staff::  Entitled for only OPD facility ( Consultation in OPD, Medicines, Lab. Investigations, X-Ray, USG, Physiotherapy, Specialist Consultation, Minor O. T. during OPD Hours.) for Self, Spouse & Children. No Reimbursement admissible.  Not entitled for Admission and Operation. 

Students :  All Bonafide students of the Institute are entitled to free medical attendance, admission and treatment available in the I.I.T. Hospital.

Reimbursement for Students:  Students are entitled for reimbursement of medicines purchased from outside as well as expenses incurred on pathological/ radiological test carried out in recognised hospitals on the advice and reference of Medical Officers.  Expenditure incurred by a student on the advice and reference of Medical Officer in a recognized hospital in an entitled class of accommodation is reimbursable by the Institute up to a maximum amount of Rs.15,000/- at a time. 

QIP Students :  Entitlement for QIP students is the same as for all bonafide students of the Institute.  The spouse and children of the QIP students are entitled for medical treatment and facilities available in the I.I.T. Hospital.  No reimbursement is admissible to spouse and children.

Research Scholars (Ph.D. students):  Entitlement for Research Scholar is the same as for all bonafide students.  The spouse of Research Scholars are entitled only for OPD treatment at I.I.T. Hospital.  No entitlement for children. No reimbursement admissible to spouse.

Temporary Student : Entitled Only for OPD facilities (Consultation in OPD, Medicines, Lab. Investigations, X-Ray, USG, Physiotherapy, Specialist Consultation, Minor O. T. during OPD Hours.).

N. C. C. : Entitled Only for Consultation with Medical Officers.

SAMEER / NITIE / DRDO : PERMISSION FOR NON-ENTITLED TREATMENT.  Admission only in Emergency cases.

CONTRIBUTORY MEDICAL SCHEME ( CMS )Entitled for only OPD facility ( Consultation in OPD, Medicines, Lab. Investigations, X-Ray, USG, Physiotherapy, Specialist Consultation, Minor O. T. during OPD Hours.) for Self & Spouse. No Reimbursement admissible.  Not entitled for Admission and Operation.

LIMITED CONTRIBUTORY MEDICAL SCHEME ( LCMS ) :   Treatment will be provided against valid Indentity Card issued by I.I.T. Administration.  Entitled for only OPD facility ( Consultation in OPD, Medicines, Lab. Investigations, X-Ray, USG, Physiotherapy, Specialist Consultation, Minor O. T. during OPD Hours.) for Parents and Parents-In-Law.  Emergency admission maximum for 24 hours. Ambulance will be provided within I.I.T. and till the nearest Nursing Home across I.I.T. Main Gate.  No Reimbursement admissible.
