Rules for attending outside recognised hospitals for Employees residing away from Powai
Staff who want to attend a particular hospital near their resident/area must rules mentioned as under -:

1.   Select any one hospital recognised for full reimbursement by IIT.

2.  Give a letter addressed to Senior Medical Officer stating the recognised hospital they would like to attend for their family members and for self in emergency.

3.  Reimbursement is allowed for regular OPD only at the said hospital for family members and in case of emergency for the employee and investigations that are required on empty stomach and other investigations if coprescribed.

4.  If investigations are advised repeatedly, please inform IIT Hospital before hand.  Expensive investigation such as CT Scan and MRI Scan, if advised have to be done in the recognised Centres after taking reference note from Medical Officer of IIT Hospital, unless in emergency.

5.  No further reference from the said hospital will be reimbursed, except  in case of emergencies.

6.  Reimbursement will be at par with the IIT rules.
