This will be the third symposium in the series, which was initiated in Hyderabad in 2010, followed by in Wiener Neustadt (Austria) in 2014. The 2016 version of this event will be jointly organized by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) Mumbai Chapter and NonFerrous Materials Technology Development Centre (NFTDC) Hyderabad. The aim of this symposium is to address the challenges, where knowledge in materials engineering becomes an important tool to solve problems in the fields related to structural applications, protection of materials, energy storage and health care, primarily in India and Austria. To facilitate the same, AME 2016 will bring together scientists, researchers and engineers from research institutes, universities and industries to a common forum.
