Elected as the Member of the  International Academy of Refrigeration (IAR) 

Prof Milind Atrey, INOX Chair Professor of Cryogenics, Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been elected as a Member of the  International Academy of Refrigeration (IAR)  during the last annual meeting of the Academy held at St Petersburg (Russia) on April 18, 2024. Prof Atrey happens to be the first member from India of this Academy which was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on May 22, 1995.

The International Academy of Refrigeration is a public organization that unites leading scientists and specialists in the fields of refrigeration and cryogenic technology, air conditioning technology, food storage and processing technologies, food production machines and units, ecology, economics, training and retraining, management, finance, etc. The Academy has 1,756 members: 16 honorary academicians, 787 academicians, 772 corresponding members and 181 academic advisors. Among them are Nobel Prize winners, over 400 professors, doctors and candidates of science.
