The battle against corruption is fought on multiple fronts, with vigilance administration playing a key role. This oversight mechanism, led by the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at the institute level, is crucial. Vigilance involves watchfulness and alertness and is an integral part of an organization's functions, just like finance, personnel, and marketing. An effective vigilance setup ensures the efficiency of other divisions. It includes preventive and punitive measures against corruption, detecting irregularities, identifying their causes, and making systemic improvements. The CVO is responsible for safeguarding the identity of whistleblowers who report irregularities.
