Hindi Fortnight 2025 Successfully Concluded at IIT Bombay

Hindi Fortnight 2025 closing ceremony was held with great enthusiasm on September 30, 2025 at the P.C. Saxena Auditorium, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. On this occasion, the Chief Guest Prof. Sandeep Verma, IIM Mumbai stated in his address that “Hindi unites the nation”, emphasizing that it is not just a language but a symbol of our cultural heritage and unity.

Prof. Nandkishore, Dean (Administrative Affairs), praised the Hindi language stating, “Hindi is a garland that weaves the entire nation together”.
The program commenced with Joint Registrar Mr. C.P. Joglekar reading the Hindi message (Hindi Sandesh) from the Honorable Shri Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation. 

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Nandkishore, Dean (Administrative Affairs); Prof. S.V. Kulkarni; Mr. C.P. Joglekar, Joint Registrar and Mr. Aftab Alam, Hindi Officer, IIM Mumbai.

During the closing ceremony, certificates and prizes were awarded to the winners of various competitions held during Hindi Fortnight, such as essay writing, general knowledge, official language quizzes, translation, noting, drafting, and letter writing competitions. After that, staff members presented Hindi songs in a special Hindi Geet Sandhya program.

Mr. Raju Kumar Shaw, Administrative Superintendent (Hindi Translator), Hindi Cell hosted the program and Ms. Vaishali Bahulkar, Hindi Officer, gave the vote of thanks.

This closing ceremony symbolized IIT Bombay’s commitment to promoting the Official language Hindi.
