IIT Bombay Holds Spring Session of 64th Convocation, Awards Degrees to 400 Graduating Students

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) held the Spring Session of its 64th Convocation at the Institute’s Convocation Hall, conferring degrees on students students who successfully completed their academic requirements between August 2025 and February 2026.

At this special convocation ceremony, 430 degrees were awarded, including 269 PhD degrees
(comprising dual degrees such as MTech/ MSc/ MPhil + PhD). In addition, 161 degrees were
conferred across various academic programmes, including 44 Executive MBA (E-MBA) degrees. 

The Spring Session of the Convocation, enables students who have completed their academic requirements to receive their degrees ahead of the main convocation ceremony, facilitating them to pursue career opportunities and further academic endeavours without delay.

Mr. Motilal Oswal, CEO and Co-founder of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd. (MOFSL), graced
the occasion as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sharad Kumar Saraf,
Officiating Chairperson of the Board of Governors, IIT Bombay, while the degrees were formally
conferred by Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, IIT Bombay. Dr Radhakrishnan, Honourable
Chairperson of BoG joined online.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Viay Ramani, Senior Vice Provost for Graduate Education
and International Affairs, Washington University in St. Louis, USA, graduating students,
faculty members, proud families and friends who gathered to celebrate this academic milestone.
