IIT Bombay successfully hosted the ANRF–PAIR Commencement Meeting and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony on 15th November 2025 at the Research Park, IIT Bombay, bringing together the Hub and seven Spoke Institutions under the Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research (PAIR) initiative of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, CEO, ANRF, along with Dr. T. Thangaradjou, Senior Scientist from ANRF, for this significant event that marks the beginning of a collaborative research ecosystem, across multiple institutions nationwide.

The Hub institution, IIT Bombay will work closely with the seven Spoke institutions:

* COEP Technological University, Pune
* IIIT Nagpur
* IIIT Pune
* M. S. University of Baroda
* University of Mumbai
* NIT Goa
* SKUAST Jammu

Through this network, the PAIR program aims to strengthen research capacity, enable mentorship-driven collaboration, upgrade laboratory infrastructure and accelerate innovation across key thematic areas including Advanced Materials, Industry 4.0, and Energy & Sustainability.


The event included addresses by ANRF leadership and IIT Bombay faculty, an overview of the PAIR program, the formal MoU signing with Spoke Institutions and an interactive session to discuss implementation pathways and collaborative opportunities.
