IIT Bombay, as the Chair University of the South and Southeast Asia and Taiwan Universities (SATU) Presidents’ Forum, successfully hosted the Translational Research SATU Network Meeting 2025 from November 9–13. The event brought together 41 delegates from 22 universities across 9 countries to strengthen regional collaboration in innovation, entrepreneurship and translational research.
Over five days, participants engaged in presentations, panel discussions, lab visits, cultural activities and a World Café session that shaped proposals for a SATU whitepaper and strategic roadmap.
Reflecting on the gathering, Prof. Sudarshan Kumar, Dean (International Research) said, "The meeting demonstrated the tremendous potential of our region when we come together with purpose and vision.We remain committed to translating knowledge into meaningful societal impact".
IIT Bombay also announced it will host the SATU Semiconductor Gathering on March 17–18, 2026, further expanding collaborative opportunities across the SATU network.
