To build the future of AI-powered, secure digital banking, the Centre for Defence Technology Innovations and Strategies (CDTIS) at IIT Bombay has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) Payments Bank and BharatGen Technology Foundation.
The MoU sets a framework for collaboration on AI-driven digital transformation and cyber security. CDTIS will serve as the academic and research anchor, contributing expertise in information security and digital transformation, facilitating access to its cyber security startup and SME ecosystem, and providing training, capability building and strategic advisory to NSDL Payments Bank.
BharatGen, a Section 8 not-for-profit backed by the Department of Science and Technology and the IndiaAI Mission, brings foundational AI models and engineering capabilities to develop and explore AI-driven solutions at scale.
NSDL Payments Bank brings large-scale banking operations and real-world deployment opportunities, enabling AI solutions to be developed and validated in practical banking environments.
This MoU reflects CDTIS's long-standing focus on translating research expertise into practical industry applications in domains of national relevance.
