Observance of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day at IIT Bombay, digital exhibition

IIT Bombay observed the ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ on August 14, 2024, commemorating the victims and sufferings of people during the 1947 partition of India.

To mark the occasion, a digital exhibition curated jointly by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) was organized in the foyer of the VMCC. Faculty, staff and students of the Institute, PM SHRI KV IIT Powai and IIT Bombay Campus School & Jr. College visited the digital exhibition in large numbers.

In addition, the National School of Drama (NSD) has curated a play to create awareness among students regarding the events of partition, its impact on millions of lives and the significance of acknowledging this pivotal chapter of our history.
