The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has been ranked 2nd in India and 129th globally in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) 2026 World University Rankings, with an overall score of 64.8 out of 100. The results were released on Wednesday, June 19, 2025, by QS.
The Institute has a score of 96.7 in employer reputation, 82.9 in citation per faculty, 73.3 in academic reputation, 72.6 in employment outcome, 75.2 in sustainability, 16.1 in faculty-student ratio, 6.5 in international faculty, 46.6 in international research network and 1.6 in international students, all scores out of a maximum of 100 points.
