A graduate company of SINE IIT Bombay, SEDEMAC Mechatronics Pvt. Ltd., has gone public, marking an important moment for India’s academic startup ecosystem and the country’s growing deep-tech innovation landscape. This is also the second IPO from the SINE IIT Bombay ecosystem, the first being IdeaForge, founded by alumni of IIT Bombay.

Incubated at SINE in 2008, SEDEMAC was founded on research undertaken by Prof. Shashikanth Suryanarayanan and his students at IIT Bombay. SEDEMAC’s journey from academic research to a publicly listed company reflects the growing impact of research-driven entrepreneurship emerging from India’s premier institutions.
