The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay's Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (TCA2I) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), marking the beginning of a strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence across NPCIL's operations.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Shrikrishna V. Kulkarni, Dean (Research & Development), IIT Bombay and Mr. S. K. Saxena, Executive Director (Engineering), NPCIL in the presence of Prof. Ravindra D. Gudi, Deputy Director, IIT Bombay.

The collaboration will be led by Prof. Manjesh Kumar Hanawal and Wg Cdr Rohan Chandak (Retd.) from TCA2I, with a focus on developing AI-driven solutions, undertaking collaborative research, facilitating knowledge exchange, supporting workforce upskilling and strengthening organisational capabilities for the effective adoption of AI technologies.

This partnership brings together IIT Bombay's expertise in Artificial Intelligence and NPCIL's leadership in nuclear power generation, creating new opportunities to drive innovation, enhance operational excellence and enable technology-led transformation in one of India's most critical strategic sectors.
