Title: "Sustainability: a parallel financial system"

Speaker: Prof. Anju Singh, Scientist, SAIF, IIT Bombay & Professor, IIM Mumbai

Abstract:

Sustainability is reshaping how we value resources, investments and growth. Rather than prioritising short-term profits, this new system emphasises long-term resilience, environmental stewardship and social equity. Concepts like ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) redefine capital flows, making sustainability a central driver of economic decisions. The planet’s health and human well-being are integrated into the global economy, creating systems with a purpose beyond profit. Capitalism greets conscience: a therapy we all need!
