The Independence Day programme 2026 will be held in front of the Institute Arch (VMCC) facing towards the Nandan Nilekani Main Building on Saturday, 15th August, 2026. Mr. Suhas Mehta, Distinguished Alumnus (BTech, Civil Engineering, 1983) will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.

08:55 am : The Director arrives at the venue

08:59 am : The Director proceeds to the Saluting Platform

09:00 am : National Song 
                  Unfurling of the National Flag by the Director 
                  National Anthem

09:05 am : Address by the Director

09:10 am : Introduction and welcome of the Chief Guest- Shri Suhas Mehta, Distinguished Alumnus 
                  Address by the Chief Guest 
                  Felicitation of the Chief Guest

09:20 am : Cultural Programme

09:30 am : Singing of National Song followed by National Anthem
