The launch of the 2019 edition of the DST-Lockheed Martin-Tata Trusts India Innovation Growth Programme (IIGP) 2.0 at Taj Vivanta, Guwahati on 19th February 2019 at 10 a.m.

About India Innovation Growth Programme (IIGP) 2.0:

IIGP 2.0 is a unique tripartite initiative between the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, Lockheed Martin and Tata Trusts and is implemented by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), Center for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at IIM Ahmedabad and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.

Launched in 2007, IIGP has been one of India’s longest standing public-private partnerships, now into its’ 13th year and has successfully supported over 400 over innovators; generated over 350 commercial agreements and over $900 million of economic value for India. Revamped in 2017 as IIGP 2.0, the programme provides financial and non-financial support through two annual parallel challenges – University Challenge and Open Innovation Challenge, to student teams as well as startups for S&T based innovations. In the last 2 years, 26 startups and 25 student teams have been selected as winners of the programme, receiving grants worth INR 25 Lacs and INR 10 Lacs each respectively.

This year, IIGP 2.0 is seeking applications in 14 focus sectors under the University Challenge and 20 focus sectors under the Open Innovation Challenge; from 19th February till 21st April  2019 at www.indiainnovates.in
