TCA2I (Technocraft Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence), IIT Bombay is organising a webinar on "Building Large-Scale AI Applications."
TCA2I serves as a hub for research and innovation, bringing together academia, industry, and government to co-create AI-driven solutions across domains such as Cybersecurity, Communication Networks, Digital Health and Digital Transformation.
This session will be delivered by Wing Commander Rohan Chandak (Retd). He retired from the Indian Air Force in January 2025 after completing his extended tenure as a Short Service Commission Officer. During his service, he held key appointments, including Senior Software Engineer, where he pioneered cutting-edge software solutions for aviation platforms. He was also actively involved in the research and development of AI/ML solutions in the aviation domain. Currently he is the Program Director at TCA2I, IIT Bombay.
The session will bridge the gap between AI theory and practice by showcasing the end-to-end journey of building a large-scale intelligent application--from concept to deployment. Participants will gain insights into:
Engineering principles for Scalability, Reliability and Maintainability
Architectural decisions and practical trade-offs
Lessons learned and actionable takeaways for real-world AI projects
