Materials Management Division (MMD)
The Materials Management Division at IIT Bombay is responsible for overseeing the initiation and progression of all tender processes and purchase orders, which include both local procurement and the acquisition of materials through imports.

Procurement of goods and services through the Government e-marketplace (GeM) and various standard methods, including Global Tender Enquiry (GTE), in line with General Financial Rules. This includes procurement through the domestic market, i.e., within India (except direct market purchase) for the Institute. This section also manages procurement from foreign suppliers, facilitates customs clearance activities, re-import activities for repairing/servicing purposes, etc.
